Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed a knack in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her talent for sprinting when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition and placing among the top two athletes at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation and signed a professional deal with the company that makes sports Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. The following year, Felix won the first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making the world junior record taking 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest to win the 200 meters during the World Championships held in Helsinki in the year 2005. She won her medal once again in 2007, beating her the long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top three in all event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
